Intergenerational social mentoring is much more than just accompanying someone: it is building bridges between generations, territories and realities. In this module, you have discovered what social mentoring is, why it can transform the lives of young people and mentors, especially in rural areas, and how the intergenerational bond becomes an opportunity for shared learning. You have explored the role of the mentor, their responsibilities and challenges, as well as the importance of setting realistic goals, managing expectations and accompanying from a place of trust. You have also seen how the online format allows rural and urban worlds to connect, overcoming distances and creating meaningful relationships through the screen. You have reflected on your own motivations, your strengths as a mentor and the impact your support can have on the life of a young person... and on your own. Are you ready to start your journey as a mentor and make a connection that will change a life?
