Kheiron Module 3

At the discourse level of language we can adopt many of the alternatives that we adopt for the written level, as the communication channel is the same. The things we need to pay attention to in order to have inclusive communication in our discourse are: Type of discourse: dialogue, exposition, argumentation, debate, class, meeting, political discourse, media discourse, etc. Length of the message: it is important to pay attention to how long or short the sentences are, if they are urgent and brief messages, they should not be lengthened. Coherence and naturalness: it is not necessary to use alternatives such as constant splitting, it can be used only in one part or element, taking into account the moment in which it is used and also who receives it. Another syntactic construction: we can change the order of words in sentences to make them more inclusive. Gender Perspective, Diversity and Inclusion in Mentoring 15
